bingo. We have to put up with enough crap as it is...

As for the Hell in a Bucket - can't quite agree with AR on the look of bemused dignity on Garcia... to me it looks like a grimace - "what shit did I step in now?"

The only saving grace looking at these is to remember the cultural environment they come from... the MTV explosion of moronic "hair band" videos with biker babes in the 80s...

EXACTLY! Hell in a Bucket is a send-up of ZZtop and VHalen and their ilk and this is the perfect video for it ...

Agreed; and it still sucks...if you follow; taken from any of a variety of motivations, they don't pull it off (mocking the genre, critiquing it, etc., etc.; it's not what "they do" well, right? "live" visual art is not the DEAD's forte...).

I don't think it's completely unsuccessful - the song, that is, not the video. I'm not gonna defend the video, but the lyrics to this song are a hoot.
